💦How Do You Install a Reverse Osmosis Water Filter?

The most crucial step is to start right: Always wash your hands or use gloves when handling water filters and replacement cartridges.

Any residential and commercial system’s filters should be replaced each year (annually). The RO membrane can usually be replaced every other year, but the pre-filters and post-filters should be changed annually and, in some cases, more often.

💧How to Install a Replacement Reverse Osmosis Water Filter

1. Turn off the valve on the RO bladder tank.
2. Turn off the feed water pressure.
3. Open the RO faucet to relieve pressure.
4. Using the supplied housing wrench, remove the filter housing.
5. Discard old filters.
6. Clean filter housings with a cleaning brush.
7. Install new filters in the system.
8. Remove and replace the GAC Post filter.
9. Remove the fittings from the old post filter.
10. Reapply Teflon tape
11. Install the fittings in the new post filter.
12. Turn on feed pressure.
13. Open tank valve.
14. Allow the tank’s water to flush out the post filter and run it to drain until it is empty.
15. Run two more complete batches to drain before using water.
