This self-piercing valve can draw a water supply from Copper or CPVC piping. This type of self piercing valve will connect to pipe sizes up to 1¼" and as small as 3/8".
These valves are a code violation in some areas and over time they can develope leaks when you use it to shut the water off. We always recommend using a John Guest shut-off valve (found below) with the self-piercing valve. This way the self-piercing valve does not have to be used to shut the water off and this way it won't cause any problems.
This way you do not need to use the self-piercing valve to shut the water off. The valve will usually not leak unless you use it as a shut-off.
Supplies ¼" Tube (Comp.), Fits Pipe 3/8" to 1¼"
Consider using a Faucet Adaptor or an Angle Stop Adaptor as an alternative supply connection.
