This medium size carbon filter is recommended to provide whole house filtration of chlorine, taste & odor, chemical contaminants as well as dirt and sediments.

FT-2-C40 has a peak flow rate of up to 7 GPM and a service flow up to 9 GPM. It will not reduce water flow in a home with 3 bathrooms with standard showers. The FM-5-20 sediment prefilter and FM-1-20 sediment postfilter should be replaced every 6 months in most cases. The carbon bed inside the tank should be replaced every 2-3 years.
